SCIENTISTS FINALLY explain how the pyramids were built EGYPT

24/12/2015

A new study shows that the ancient Egyptians who built the pyramids, may have moved the massive stone blocks through the sand desert watering, leaving the soil consistently to pull heavy objects. Some physicists at the University of Amsterdam investigated the necessary strength to pull heavy objects on a giant sleigh on the desert sand, and found that moistening the sand in front reduces friction on the sled, making it easier to carry. The results help to answer one of the most enduring mysteries of history, as the Egyptians were able to accomplish the seemingly impossible task of building the famous pyramids? To make their discovery, the researchers took painted murals in the ancient tomb of Djehutihotep, which in 1900 BC describes 172 men carrying a huge statue using ropes attached to a sled. In the drawing, a person can be seen standing in front of the sled, pouring water on the sand, said lead study author Daniel Bonn, a physics professor at the University of Amsterdam.
Each pyramid block weighs about 2.5 tons.
Check out a simulation following:

About where to get water ? Many believe that the nearest source for this would be the Nile Bonn and his colleagues built miniature sleds and tried to pull heavy objects through sand trays. When the researchers drag sleds on the dry sand, they noted that they would need ever more power to pull them . Addition of water in the sand, however, the sledges were able to slide easily over the surface. This is because the water creates a firm, hard ground. Check out the image to grave Djehutihotep , responsible for the beginning of the study, summed it all about the Egyptian pyramids were built .

They were walking ON A FROZEN LAKE WHEN spotted something bizarre

24/12/2015
There are a lot of people who believe in extraterrestrial life (including me) . Most have little evidence to reinforce their beliefs , which always makes these people seem crazy .

But what these guys found in a lake is enough to make even the most skeptical person to believe there might be something else out there . Take a look at these things and see if you have any plausible explanation for it there.

Watch this video from the frozen lake and tell me what you thin kis:

What is this? Give me a reasonable explanation , because I need one. I really need to believe that these things are not alien eggs, if not, I will not be able to sleep again.

Extraordinary facts about dreams

14/12/2015

  • Blind people also dream People who become blind after birth can see images in dreams. People who are born blind do not see anything, but have dreams equally vivid involving their other senses: hearing, smell, touch and emotions. It is difficult for sighted people imagine, but the the need of dreams for the body is so strong that the blind can virtually handle all situations that dream.
  • You forget 90% of your dreams After five minutes awake half the dream has already been forgotten. In 10m, 90% is gone. The famous poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge woke up one morning after a fantastic dream (likely opium induced) and began to describe his "vision in a dream," which is one of the most famous English poems: Kubla Khan. After having written 54 lines he was interrupted by an unwanted visitor. Samuel returned to his poem but could not remember the rest of your dream. The poem was never completed.
  •  Everyone dreams Except for a few people with extreme psychological disorders all the rest of us dreams. Dreams prevent psychosis In a recent sleep study, students who were awakened at the beginning of each dream, yet could sleep your eight hours of sleep. All experienced difficulty concentrating, irritability, hallucinations and signs of psychosis after only three days. When they were finally allowed to sleep during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement in English or rapid eye movement, is the physiological signal that started dreaming during sleep), their brains made up for lost time greatly increasing the carried sleeping percentage the REM stage.
  •  We dream only about what we know Our dreams are frequently full of strangers who desenpenham certain roles. Did you know that your mind is not making these faces? They are real faces of people you saw during your life, but can not remember. There is a science that says that dreams are manipulated into reality by own individual spirit, as a kind of communication.
  • Not everyone dreams in color There are people with normal vision (12%) who dream in black and white only . The remaining dreams in color . There are also common themes in dreams , which are situations relating to school, being chased , try to run and still move slowly , sexual experience , falling , falling behind , a living person currently being dead , teeth falling out , flying, failures an exam or car accident. It is unknown whether the impact of a dream relating to violence or death is more emotionally charged for a person who dreams in color or those who dream in black and white.

What are the first and the last countries in the world to enter the new year?

14/12/2015
The New Year is the most anticipated holiday in several countries. The date marks the renewal of faith, hope, love and determination. This is a magical and special moment, in which people have the chance to make new resolutions and goals. Although considered day of universal brotherhood, the new year comes at different times for some countries. Some nations celebrate the New Year first, and others have to wait to celebrate the date, all because of the time zones.

In general, the first celebrating the new year is Antarctica. Another area where the new year arrives faster is the easternmost island of Kiribati, also known as Carolina Island, located in Oceania. Then the list of countries to first celebrate the turn of the year, we Samoa, a country near French Polynesia.

The new year comes quickly to these regions because they are geographically located in areas with zones earliest times . Moving from one year to the next takes place the first call on International Date Line (LID ) , which is in the Pacific Ocean west of Hawaii. In contrast, Honolulu , Hawaii, is the last region of the world to commemorate the date .

And if countries are different when entering the new year, they also differ in the types of celebration. In Brazil, the traditions are jumping waves, eat lentils and wear white clothes. In China , people offer food to gods . In Japan, the cleaning ceremony takes place in homes. In France , people sipping champagne . In the United States , people face the bitter cold of winter and go to Time Square in New York , to accompany the countdown.

The nine largest craters created by man

14/12/2015
There are several craters in the world , many of them caused by man , mainly in mining activities. The largest craters created by man in the earth's crust can be seen in the open in countries like Russia, the United States, Canada , Chile , among others.

These craters cause major environmental concern , because it directly affects the soil , groundwater , rivers , fauna and human life . The environmental impact is extreme .

Meet the 9 largest craters caused by man:

1 - Mir mine - the world's navel call , the crater is huge , with about 525 meters deep and 1,200 meters wide. The crater is in Siberia , in the town of Mirny , and is used to extract diamonds. The hole is so large that it disrupts air traffic in the region . The Mir was extensively explored between the years 1957 and 2001 .

2 - Chuquicamata - This open pit mine is the largest in Chile. It was once considered the world's largest operating mine producing 29 million tons of copper . The crater is 4.3 km in length and 850 meters deep.

3 - Berkeley Pit - This ancient copper mine operated from 1955 to 1982. The crater is 270 meters deep.

4 - Bingham Canyon - The mine is located in Salt Lake City, Utah ( USA). It is the deepest open pit mine in the world , with a thousand meters deep and 4,000 meters wide.

5 - Derweze - This crater drilling rig put the lives of many people in danger. The Derweze village became vacant .

6 - Udachnaya - This Russian mine was discovered in 1955. It is considered the third largest in depth, about 600 meters.

7 - Diavik - This Canadian mine was discovered in 1992 to use open-pit mining .

8 - Grasberg - The Papua mine in Indonesia , is the largest gold exploration in the world. It has come to produce 610.8 tons of copper as well as gold and silver.

9 - Serra Pelada - This mine is located in Pará, Brazil . The crater is 100 meters deep, and was used for the exploration of precious metals like gold, platinum and palladium.

Amazing pictures of a deserted island in Japan

14/12/2015
These stunning photos reveal the forgotten and decaying beauty of a once prosperous island city in Japan. The city is called Gunkanjima and is about 15 kilometers south of Nagasaki. The place is well known as a forbidden treasure of urban development in ruins.
Although the safety of the island is very strict , apparently not hard enough to keep the Australian photographer, Shane Thoms off the island. And we are happy that he has found a way to enter, because their ghost town of photos are absolutely mesmerizing .
The city of Gunkanjima came years ago as a housing project for people working in the coal mine there. But when the mine was closed in 1974 , the city was abandoned and the buildings left vacant and forgotten. Decades passed and the city began to rot and decay , slowly taking a post- apocalyptic appearance now has

In 2009, the island was declared a UNESCO world heritage site, which means that security has become intense. Now, visitors are only allowed to stay on the island for 30 minutes, and even then, they are required to stay within a special fenced in area. But Shane Thoms wanted to see more, so he planned to sneak into the island with some friends to spend the night and shoot the concrete deteriorating. The boys were able to reach the island by boat with a guide. The fisherman left them on the island and they began their stealthy exploration of the forgotten city. "Forty years of no maintenance had taken its toll, with many stairs and hallways falling apart" Thoms wrote on his website. "After a while I got completely lost in an impressive maze of small alleys of decayed concrete and narrow staircases covered with moss." They watched the sunset from a roof and pitched among the ruins that night. The next morning, they explored a little further and continued taking pictures until the fishing boat came to pick them up again.

What scientists have done for this cat is insane

14/12/2015
When it comes to scientific discoveries , not all of them are beautiful . "You can not make an omelette without breaking some eggs " , as some people say . One of the most severe cases , it is the famous experiment " decerebrate cat" ( brainless Cat ) . This test is designed to identify areas of the brain that are responsible for performing the low-level functions that keep us alive .
The experiment was a cat that had most of his brain removed, except for a small section of the brain stem. The scientists then put the cat on a treadmill. They found that even when he was missing most of his brain , the animal was still able to demonstrate various gait patterns.

Unfortunately of course , the cat did not survive after the experiment .

I feel very bad to see the cat in this situation , but I suppose that their suffering has some interesting scientific results. Still ... I feel that researchers might have discovered it without removing part of the poor cat 's brain.
